My review has just gone live: www.digitallydownloaded.net/2018/01/review-shadow-of-colossus-sony.htmlIt's a pity that much of the discussion about this game will be the quality of the graphics and remaster, because it's no more beautiful now than it was then - Shadow of the Colossus was always about art direction more than polygons, and the real strength of the game is its narrative... but hey, whatever gets more people playing the most notable and important art game ever made works for me.

You know, for all I talk about game narratives and stuff, I've never played Shadow of the Colossus I vaguely have the story spoilt though

And nothing (short of watching a Let's Play) can prepare you for that

I first played Shadow of the Colossus only 2 or 3 years ago. I wasn't exactly sure what I was getting into to and I ended up falling completely in love. I remember it feeling strangely magical and yet overwhelmingly sad at the same time. I'm super excited to experience this game again!

Enjoy that photo mode! If there anything that will really cement for you that sadness feeling, it's taking photos of its majesty

I only had a GameCube back then so there were a lot of older PlayStation games I missed growing up. Honestly, the photo mode is the most exciting thing about this release of SotC. The new graphics are nice and all but that photo mode is gonna be amazing.
